At Baby Steps Child Care, we provide daycare for children aged 0-5 years old. Our Nursery's provide child care for children aged between 0 - 5 years of age and our afterschool/holiday clubs offer child care from 5 -16 years of age. Our team of educationalists strive to give emphasis on the development of every single child. We do our best to provide them with a comfortable and secure environment also while developing their educational, physical, social and emotional needs at the same time. We are a small family orientated nursery, with 40 places, located on Reginald Road Smethwick B67 5AQ. We are Ofsted Registered and our Staff have been providing childcare since 2007.

DATA PROTECTION
It is a legal requirement of the Nursery to hold information about children using the Nursery and its staff. Basic information is used for registers, invoices and for emergency contents, however all records will be stored in a locked cabinet.
HEALTH AND MEDICATION
If your child becomes ill during a Nursery parents must always give written consent before medicine can be administered to the child (Ask staff for the detailed procedure).
PERSONAL BELONGINGS
All garments must be marked with your child’s name we will not allow any items of value to be brought into or kept at Nursery your child’s belongings will be kept either in their bag or drawer where possible.
GENERAL INFORMATION
We hold regular staff meetings to discuss the care of the children and to update staff on any changes in legislation that may affect the care of the children to discuss issues concerning children who may need extra support and to discuss new ideas for lessons.

We offer 30 hours and 15 hours funding for 3 and 4 year olds. This can either be taken as 30 hours per term time week or 22 hours stretched over 51 weeks. You will need to provide an eligibility code to be able to claim the 30 hours, which will be provided by the HMRC (Link below). We require you to complete a Parental Declaration to claim any funding, which will be given out to you by the nursery. Prices are inclusive of all meals, refreshments and activities, should you require attendance based ONLY on 2, 3 and 4 year old funding for 15 or 30 hours per week or the stretched offer of 11 or 22 hours per week. There will be a charge of £3 for lunch if you attend between 12pm-1pm and £2 for tea if you attend between 4pm-5pm.
